Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Landlord harassing myfirned who is staying temporarily

My landlord lives upstairs from me. He constantly catches my roommate and I in the stairways and ask us questions. He has been harassing a friend who is staying with me whenever she comes in town for work or for interviews. My firend does not live with me and she certainly is not goin to be living there in the future. My landlord doesn't just stops her; he stops anyone who is in my apartment for more than a day.

What can I do to stop him? Do I have any legal rights?
