Landlord responsibilites

If my roof is leaking what is the landlords responsibilty? The water drips into my kitchen and the ceiling is all cracked open.

Re: Landlord responsibilites

A landlord must repair a leaking roof at his own expense unless the lease provides otherwise. See Civil Code sections 1941 and 1941.1(a). The codes are available at one or more county law libraries in every county, and also at many public libraries.
