Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

my landlord is threatening to tow my car that's parked in my designated spot. I rent an apartment unit. I recently acquired a new car which I share with my brother, so I have two cars. I moved my old car into regular street parking and parked the new car in my spot and my landlord is telling me he will tow it because I am sharing that car with my brother. Does he have the right to do that??

You have no right to sublet your parking space. If the new car is your primary vehicle, and for some reason your brother happens to be part owner, you probably have a right to park in your space. But if it is primarily your brother's car and you happen to be part owner, your landlord is right.
