Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
Landlord/Tenants Law
Last june I moved into an apartment complex owned by Oakwood, they recently sold the property to another company which has began a major renovation project to the complex. At minium the construction has been a serious nucience. We have complaind several times about noise early in the morning (6-7AM). Eventually that stoped, however, the last week they began repainting the outside, the gave us a letter saying we had to removed everything from our patio, and then they tore down our fence. Prior to them removing the patio I explained to the managers that I owned a gas barbeque and could not put it in the apartment for safty reasons, and asked that they provide some place to store it, since they were the ones removing the fence. I never got a responce from them, and today they got paint all over the barbque and several other patio items, I feel they should be responcible for these items. Any help?

Re: Landlord/Tenants Law
I'm not so sure the landlord is responsible but i think you have a good small claims case against the painters.
