Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

lease discrepancy

My lease indicates a total rent due for the period of the lease (1 yr) ''which is payable in check or money order as follows:...'' A schedule of payments is outlined, the sum of which is $100 less than the total rent indicated. Obviously there is an error in the contract, but which amount represents my legally binding rent liability?

Re: lease discrepancy

The total amount would prevail over the payment schedule, in my opinion. This is related to the fact that the lease would be treated as a one-year lease rather than 12 consecutive but separate one-month leases.
