If Management or Ownership changes while in a 1yr. lease, is the lease still valid?

The answer to your question is - it depends. Whether the lease is still valid depends upon how the ownership changed. If the property was sold, then yes, your lease is still valid and the new owner is responsible for your security deposit. If, however, the property changed ownership because of a foreclosure, the foreclosure terminated your lease by operation of law. Since you did not mention a foreclosure, I assume you mean a sale, in which case your lease is still valid.
