Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Is it legal and a reasonable for me to get this citation?

I got a city citation for not painting my house. I live in the los angeles area. Is it even feasible for them give me a citation? Under what code does it state? My house is painted already when I built it but it states that my house is disrupting the city's reputation as a whole. I think it is reasonable for me if there was blood on the wall but I don't seem a feasible reason to paint my house.

The citation should provide the city municipal code section or sections under which the order is being levied. Take the citation to the City code enforcement office, and make sure it is legitimate and also ask why they have cited you. Yes, it is possible for the City to require you to paint your home, though it is a question of (1) is there actually a law in your city which gives them the authority to cite you for something like painting your house, and (2) is the condition of your home sufficient to warrant such a citations. These are things you will have to review with an attorney looking at the specific facts before an answer can be given. Again, yes it is possible, but that doesn't mean they are correct.

Assuming the City passed a blight control law, it can cite you for a violation because something does not look right or nice. You do not say what the condition of the paint is on the exetrior walls and how long ago you painted them, so how are we to know if the citation was reasonable.
