Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Legal rights of a co-signer

I purchased a new home with the equity from a home I sold. My boyfried co-signed for the new loan because I couldn't qualify by myself. He did not put any money down on the home (only co-signed). My question is: Is he entitled to any equity in the home? We have lived here for about 2 1/2 years and I would like to know what he is entitled to. We did not have any type of agreement before purchasing this home.
