Lien on auto

Before a divorse is final, can a spouse put a lien on an auto purchased after sepperating? (using owns money)

It depends on where the money to buy the car came from. If all the money was the separate property of the wife, i.e. separate before the separation date or earned by her after the separation date, then the husband has no rights in the car and should not place a lien on it. If on the other hand any community funds were used to buy the car, the husband may have a right to place a lien on it.
