How can I remove a lien on a property that I placed?

Mr. Starrett is correct. It depends on what kind of lien it was, if it was an abstract of judgment, then you may have to record or execute a satisfaction of judgment. Mechanic's liens are different. Somebody mentioned the other day that there are 90 different types of liens in existence, so you should be a little more specific.

The method to release the lien depends on the TYPE of lien that was filed. You can release a judgment lien by recording a Satisfaction of Judgment. Releasing a deed of trust would be done be recording a full reconveyance. You should post this question againa and be more specific about the type of lien involved.
