Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

hi there i live in california, and own a marketing company, we charge a marketing fee, for connecting the homeowner to a lending financial company that will refinance or help them in there mortgage situation, is my company violating any laws, since we only refer?

Very possibly. If you were truly "only" referring, probably not, but since you self-describe yourself as being a marketing company and charging a marketing fee, I think it is likely you are soliciting possible borrowers and would need either a real estate or finance licence. You should find an attorney that specializes in licensing and discipline issues in the real estate or lending industries and describe what you do very precisely. Then get the license needed, or find another business activity.
