If , I live in my home, am paying all taxes and insurance and have a reverse mortgage on my home can I get the an address change with the assessors office for tax purposes?? I made up a FINAL WISHES folder in it was signed deed. She was to have kept it until I was dead or unable to do for myself, but she filed it and tried to sell the house. A case must be brought to trial within five years of filing. That gives you another year.

My guess is that the assessor will only mail tax bills to the owner of record. If "she" is getting the tax bills, that's because of the deed, which for all the assessor knows, is valid.

Do you have an attorney handling your court case? You probably need one.
