Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

we live in a neighborhood flocked by foreclosures, rentals and section 8 houses. we have been broken into twice in the last six months as there are two empty houses to one side of ours. our house is worth $50,000 less than we paid for it 6 years ago. how can we get out of our house legally and with the least hassle?

Since there is nothing the lender did incorrectly and it is doubtful that you can sue the real estate agent for not revealing the number of properties occupied by what you consider undesirables. You could try to rent it out if that wlil give you a positive cash flow or sell it to someone giving them good terms so your house is of more interest than others. The real estate market does seem to be getting a little stronger, but the changes are very regional.
