Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I have been living in a home (it used to be my home for 15 years prior to the divorce) with my son rent free for 3 years because the owner (my ex husband) preferred that I remain there with our son so he could move out of town.

Now he decided that he wanted to sell the house and ordered me to vacate it in 2 months.

I need more time then 2 months to vacate it and decide where to go and what I can afford, what are my rights, if any?

Thank you

Orly

Unfortunately if he has legal title to the house and you have just been living there by his good graces, you have no right to stay. Since you were paying no rent, you don't even have the rights of a tenant. Even if you did, however, two months is all the notice you would have a right to in a place you have lived for a year or more (30-days if you are there less than a year).
