Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Ok I was living in a house that was auctioned off. Some of my personal belongs are trapped on the property now actually one item is a trailer that is my friends and he wants it back but I have no access to it because there is a chain link fence put up and around the property now .. what can I do to get the stuff.. the power is on and I'm my name still .. there has to be someway around this so I can retrieve my stuff

Three questions need to be answered before we can give useful advice. First, what was your status while you were living in the house........owner, tenant, guest, employee or trespasser? Second, why was the house auctioned off? Third, have you tried to contact the party that fenced the property and is preventing your access to your property (and if so, with what result)?
