Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

loan

I want to purchase a new house. The realtor showing the tract of homes stay i have to go thru there mortgage company to be approved before they will talk to me. I told them that i already have a loan (conv)and qualify. But still say its company policy. Can they do this? If not where can i get the info on the law for this item.

I believe this is prohibited by HUD. I suggest you ask the realtor to give you his company policy in writing. Tell him you want to take it to your lawyer. Even money says the policy will suddenly disappear.
