Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I'm on a loan with my co signer but it states shes the primary. does that mean if she pays my truck off can she receive the title an i have to give up the vehicle? even though i have been making the payments an she has not. because shes threating me to take the vehicle. i know while the loan is not paid off she can not take the truck from me because both our names are on it.

Who's on the certificate of title (pink slip)? Being "on the loan" usually coincides with being on the title somewhere, either as owner or lender, but not always, and you need to see and read what the pink slip says to get a better picture. Between co-owners, neither one can take poissession away from the other, so maybe a locked garage in a secret location is your answer. The law does not condone self-help "repossessions" by amateurs. Also, keep the registration up to date and showing your address.
