Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

How long do I have

Currently have a home that will probably go down in foreclosure due to my mortgage rate adjusting soon. I have tried refinancing and with no equity in the home it doesn't look good - If infact I do foreclose how much time do I have before I must vacate my home? How long does the process take? Thank you for your insight

Re: How long do I have

The foreclosure process is as follows:

The notice of default is recorded, the home owner has 90 days in which to cure the default.

After the 90 day period then a notice of sale must be published for 21 days in the local newspaper, generally this is a local legal newspaper.

On the date of the sale the property is sold to the highest bidder.

The buyer will then give notice to move out.
