If the creditor sues you and obtains a judgment, then almost any property you own is subject to execution, including a home. That being said, most creditors will not take the time or spend the money to execute on a home. The process is very expensive and time consuming and, unless you have a large amount of equity in your home, it would not be worth the time or trouble. You are more likely having your wages garnished and your bank accounts levied.

If the judgment is monetary, then the creditor can attach anything you own to satisfy the judgment, and it is then your burden to show that you qualify for an exemption under the enforcement of money judgments laws.
