Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
I own a manufactured home in a city-owned park in Poway, CA. My mortgage isn't really a mortgage; it's a personal property loan. And I also pay lot rent. I was laid off from my job as of July 1st and currently owe for August, September, and October lot rent and September and October mortgage. The park has given me a "3/60" eviction notice dated 8/12/09 and the mortgage company (GreenTree) has notified me that they will beginning the repossession process. So here is my question: Should I move out by 10/11/09 in compliance with the 60 day notice or should I wait and be officially be evicted. I have had the home for sale since I was laid off but obviously nothing is happening there. My bottom line is that I would like to get out of this with as little damage to my credit as possible. What should I do? Thank you. I'm guessing this is a real estate question, not a credit question
