Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Ex married couple, husband buys ex wife out of home they lived in for 10 years together - the house appraised at one price and then when the time of filing appraised at another price - two years have gone buy to correct price in paperwork - ex wife wants papers signed at higher price - do you even have to sign paper work? can a judge rule on new home prices in today's market - housing will not be back up to what it was two years ago, right? what should husband do? ex wife has a lot of legal help behind her, she works for a firm.

You have to look at the terms of the agreement, if there were any terms, as to what date to use for appraisal. If,as I suspect, there is no real language as to what date is used, than Mr. White is correct that you will likely need a attorney.
