Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Mendocino county built a county road on my property. It's been there for a while . I just noticed what can I do.?

If the County does not own an easement for its road, then you would have to hire a lawyer to file what's called an "inverse condemnation" case. This would force the county to pay for the land that it is using, or remove the road. Have you asked the County why they did so? Does the County think it has a right to put its road there?

I agree with Mr. Collins, but suggest you speak to a competent real estate attorney near you. The land that the road sits on may have been dedicated as a public easement by a previous owner of your property.
