Month-to-Month Lease

My lease ends at the end of the month and I don't want to sign another six month one. Is my landlord obligated to let me go month to month if I do not want to move and do not want to sign another lease? And if so, for how long?

It partially depends on what the lease agreement says. Once you go on a month to month, the rental can be terminated by either party or the rent adjusted with 30 days notice.

your lease becomes month to month until you or the landlord gives a 30 day notice.

If no other agreement is made and you pay rent monthly, you will be a month-to-month tenant when your lease expires.

The landlord legally may insist you sign a new lease or move out. In today's rental market this is unlikely.
