Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Want to move on

I'm on a house deed w/2 other people that are not interested in selling, but I want to move on. I don't really want to hurt the other people, but I really want to move on with my life & need my investment money in order to do that.

Re: Want to move on

Two big factors here that you didn't mention are (1) how is the property financed (if at all); i.e., who is "on the loan"; and (2) is the property worth more than was paid, and/or worth more than is owed?

There is a legal procedure for and unhappy co-owner to force sale of the property and division of the net proceeds of sale, but the process (called "partition") makes little sense if the property has no equity.

Please contact me directly with some rough numbers if you'd like a further free analysis.
