Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

My neighbor replaced one garage door but has not painted it to match the other door. He also does not maintain the landscaping. Can I hire a landscape to trim his front yard tree and remove the weeds? And ask our other neighbor who is a painter to ask him if he can paint both doors the same color and we will cover the costs?

If you go onto his property without permission you are trespassing and could be both arrested and sued. Come up wilth your best arguments that do not make him believe you are insulting him [felt he must be sick since unable to take care of yard, some people thinking of selling and told what the other nearby houses look like is important as to the sales price].

If any tree branches overhang the property line and intrude into your yard, you can trim them at the property line, but not further without becoming a trespasser. I agree with Mr. Shers' suggestion.
