Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Thank you, My neighbor was given verbal permission to top 3 of my trees to improve his view. Instead, he cut down 90% of my 30 year old trees. Destroying my privacy, shade, and causing mental distress...This is a property valued in excess of 1.2 million dollars... I am not doing anything yet. The contractor estimates for only damages to property are in excess of $10,000.00 I can certainly afford to hire any local attorney with a proven track record. LA county, Torrance Superior Court. Help. Rick

The problem with your case is that your agreement was "verbal." Verbal agreements are hard to prove, especially when the other party denies the existence of the agreement, or as would be likely in your case, claims that the agreement was for other terms.
