Have been looking for a copy, example, of "Notice of Nonresponsibility" excepted by the State of California.

See California Civil Code section 3094 for statutory requirements. Available at county law library and many public libraries.

Also available are books of forms. Ask the law library librarian for assistance.

This and similar forms may be available from organizations such as the Associated General Contractors or American Institute of Architects.

Another way is to go the recorder's office at the courthouse and look at notices recorded by others. After you've seen several, you'll become aware of the typical format; then have a copy made and work from that.

The notice must be timely posted with respect to specific work, and also verified and recorded. Unless you are trained as a contractor or paralegal, you will probably need legal assistance to comply with all the requirements.
