Notice

Is a tenant required by law to give a 30 day written notice to the landlord if the lease period is up? The lease provides for any holdover to become a month to month . The lease states that notice shall be given at (phone number) Is written still required?

i would advise the tenant to give written notice to be on the safe side but if the lease allows telephone notice then it is probably OK
