Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Opening escrow before two year primary residence established

I want to sell my home, and have only lived in it for 1 year, 10 months. Can I list it on the market before my two year residency requirement? When can I open escrow on the property? Does it have to be after the two year mark, or can I open escrow, and close after the two year mark? Any information you provide would be appreciated.

Re: Opening escrow before two year primary residence established

The ownership/residency period starts on the date you closed escrow when you puechased, and ends on the day escrow closes on sale. You could ave a 6 month escrow, as long as the closing does not occur prior to the 2 years.
