Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
Owner was in foreclosure but still collecting rent, bank said it was okay that he collected rent until property was purchased. Property sold, owner wrote a check for our security deposit but bank closed months ago. We did not get our security deposit back. Can we sue bank for not collecting from previous owner or do we have to sue previous owner who we cannnot fine?

You might want to contact the FDIC to see maybe they could help you regarding the bank.
