ownership of home

I am inheriting a home which is not yet fully paid. How do we change the name of the deed/ what is involved/tax implications

You don't change the name on the deed. If the home was owned by a trustee of a living trust, the successor trustee deeds the property. If not, the property has to be probated. A probate is a lawsuit that settles the question of what happens to the property of the decedent.
