Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

Parking Spaces

I was informed verbally by my landlords by an employee that is new (a month or less) that my parking space was #58...however i later got my car towed and called to ask why and the property management now told me my space is #64...i was never provided with a copy of my lease and the terms were handwritten in by the ''new'' employee after i signed it. since i was not provided with a copy of the lease and told false information by the property management do i have a right to a refund.

Re: Parking Spaces

Yes, they were negligent in their acts. They should have contacted you before calling a tow truck, especially if you had a parking space sticker on and spot #64 was vacant.

Re: Parking Spaces

Yes you do. It appears that this is a case of Landlord negligence. If they refuse to refund, it becomes a small claims court matter.

Good luck
