Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I currently am part-owner of a residential home. The home is on the market for sale. I'm going out of town for 6 months and will have a hard time signing any documents. Is there a way i can give all rights and power of signing to the majority owner of the property. i.e., power of attorney.

Thank you for your reply.

Yes, you can make the co-owner your attorney-in-fact to do the home sale by completing and initialing the appropriate lines on a "California Uniform Statutory Form Power of Attorney" and I am sure they are available on line. Proper execution requires signing before a notary public. Be careful when completing the form; read every line and every instruction. Monitor the selling process while you're away, to the extent possible, so you are happy with the resulting deal.
