Behind two payments on mortgage

What lender department would i have to call to get my mortgage payments remodified

any certain department and what how should i question them on having my mortgage payments remodified.

What questions or comments

should i ask in order to have this mortgage loan remodified

looking for some info to use to my interest. What is debt ratio i should have.

I would start by calling any "help" number printed on your monthly bill, or listed in your original loan documents, if the note is still held by the original lender. Lenders are not uniformly organized, so there is no "one size fits all" answer on what department to contact.

Remember that lenders are not required to modify loan terms, at least not under any law or policy yet on the books or well known. It therefore isn't a sure thing that ANY department at your lender will help you.

On the other hand, some lenders are actively contacting their borrowers and extending various offers to make avoiding foreclosure easier. Be sure to look at all your mail carefully so you don't inadvertently throw out a reset offer from your lender.
