Pets in Condos
Is there a California law that mandates all condo associations to permit owners to have pets such as dogs in reasonable numbers?

I like Roys answer. It is concise and to the point.
To elaborate a little, the rules on pets will be in the association bylaws and guidelines, or the CC&Rs. Be sure to read those documents to establish what the rules are exactly.
The association can probably tell you which provisions to read for more information.

Whoa!!! Not so fast, gentlemen. Please note that Civil Code section 1360.5 seems to say that condo rules established after 1/1/2001 must allow an owner to keep at least one pet, subject to reasonable rules.
I haven't studied this law nor read any cases interpreting it, but I think it's pretty clear that the answer isn't always NO.
You should review the Civil Code section cited to see whether it applies to your situation.
Most important may be when your condo's rules were adopted. The law does not appear to have any retroactive effect.
