Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

I need to place lein on a persons home, she owes me $20,000 i have it notorized. How do I do this?

See my previous answer. In short, unless the paper you have is a mortgage or deed of trust on the person's home, and is only an IOU, you'll have to sue successfully before you can record a lien.
