Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

The plaintiff filed a Lis Pendens on the property at time of lawsuit. Court retained juristiction after settlement and ultimetly Plaintiff released the Lis Pendens several years later after obtaining their full settlement payment. Does this mean the case is over? Does the court still have say-so over the parties and property in question?
