Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
I am a plaintiff in a unlawful detainer-eviction case. The defendant has not responded to the complaint however, she has filed a demurrer. I know this because I went to the court to submit a proof of service and was told by the clerk. Do I have to be served with the demurrer? I have yet to receive the demurrer. The demurrer court date is scheduled for 1 week from today. Thank you

A demurrer is a response to a complaint. You should have been served with a copy.
