Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

property damage to my condo

If a corroded water pipe ruptured inside my kitchen wall and destroyed my cabinetry and wall. If the association or property management company has to come in and tear out my wall, counter top and cabinetry to replace them, do they have to replace all my cabinetry and counter tops?

Re: property damage to my condo

Sounds right to me if the pipe is considered common property, rather than your own responsibility. The HOA should have insurance to cover these things. You might contact your own insurance carrier, too.
