Purchasing a home while on SSI

I'm 47yrs. old and I'm on Perm. SSI, I also have a trust fund that I get $500/mth. My question is can I get money from my trust B4 I'm 55 to purchase a home or will that get me in trouble with SSI?

If you have not informed SSI that you are the beneficiary of a trust and are receiving money at this time, you are violating the law. You are not entitled to receive money from a trust and continue to receive SSI--that would be considered fraud.
