Re: Qpert

The acronym "QPERT" is short for "Qualified Personal Residence Trust" and to quote from a well-known tax-preparation sevice's Web site, "A qualified personal residence trust (QPERT) allows you to transfer ownership of your home to your children or other relatives while you retain the right to live in the home for a specified period. It is one of the many estate-planning tools you and a qualified financial planner can consider to determine the most valuable techniques for you.. "

I suggest trying a Google search if you need more information, and befoe you try to set one up, talk to a lawyer who specializes in estate planning. These are not for everyone, they are suitable only for special situations. Estate planners have a full arsenal of weapons and tools to get you and your heirs the best result at the expense of the tax collector, so use their services.
