Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California

question about power of atterney

I'm preparing a general power of atterney form so that my sister can sign for me on a real estate contract. My driver's license has my home address in Californa. The actual contract will be signed in California. But I'm currently staying in New York state. Which power of atterney form should I use? California or New York? What are the differences between the two forms other than the location of notary. Thanks!

Re: question about power of atterney

You should ask the title company that you intend to use to provide one for you, since they can be a little picky, and it is they who will be guaranteeing title.
