Is it legal to raffle off your personal residence?

Re: Raffling off of a personal residence
Unless a raffle is conducted by an eligible organization (see Penal Code 320.5(c)), a raffle is illegal. As you may guess, eligible organizations include churches, schools, and other non-profit, charitable entities. Otherwise, holding or participating in a raffle is a misdemeanor. Recommend that you review Calif. Penal Code sections 319-320 in the specifics.
