Is it legal to raffle off your personal residence?

Unless a raffle is conducted by an �eligible organization� (see Penal Code 320.5(c)), a raffle is illegal. As you may guess, �eligible organizations� include churches, schools, and other non-profit, charitable entities. Otherwise, holding or participating in a raffle is a misdemeanor. Recommend that you review Calif. Penal Code sections 319-320 in the specifics.
