Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
A real estate agent (A) showed us a house we liked, but would not negotiate his commission. We went to another agent (B) and made an offer on the same house. Now agent (A) says he is entitled to his half of the commission.

You have left out some necessary facts, such as whether an offer was made, and whether A and/or B was working for you, or for the seller, etc., but if we can make the necessary assumptions about the status of the dealings and relationships of the parties, I'd agree with Mr. Roach.
