Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
We have a real estate broker who showed us the property and we have made a verbal offer, like feeling out the seller. The seller came down a with a verbal offer back. Our current broker refuses to put in a written offer because he feels our offer is low. We want to know our legal options with this broker. We do not have a real estate broker agreement with him. Can we drop him and go with another agent since he does not have our best interest in mind.

If you do not have a buyer's agent agreement with him, and he refuses to submit an offer you want submitted, you have no further obligation to him. Tell him he's fired.
