my condo mortgage is behind 4 months. how long until the bank gets serious about moving me out?

Depends entirely upon the bank. Some banks will start foreclosure at 90-120 days delinquent. I have a client in my office who is more than 10 months behind, and the bank hasn't started foreclosure. I tend to think that if it is a condominium, is upside down in equity, they are not going to be as aggressive, but in theory, they can start foreclosure at any time.
