Is it legal to charge a fee for real estate consulting and charge a fee to seller for services rendered and have them sign an invoice that will then be sent to escrow to pay your corporation after the close of escrow?

It doesn't sound legal. Without knowing all the details, including exactly what matters were consulted about and what licenses the consultant holds, I cannot say for sure, but more likely than not the deal involves services for which the provider needs to be licensed as a real estate broker or attorney at law.
