Re: real estate

County Recorders' Offices vary greatly from county to county in terms of how easy it is to search for liens against a property. If you have a friend or relative who is in the real estate business, they can contact their title company, and request a preliminary title report on the property which will be a pretty accurate picture of what liens, if any exist.
