Can a lien be placed on real estate to collect child support arrears.

If a judgment creditor has placed a lien on your property that would intefere with your ability to claim the property as exempt in the bankruptcy, you can file a motion remove the lien. Once you file the bankruptcy, you can file the motion under Section 522(f) of the Bankruptcy Code.
