Legal Question in Real Estate Law in California
my real estate partner and I signed a listing agreement on March 1st. Five days later he left the partnership (new brokerage also) and made up a new contract without my name on it and dated March 1, although it was the 6th. Now he claims I should not get 50% of the commission which was our verbal agreement with our broker from the beginning of our partnership. Escrow opened after he left, but we had a verbal acceptance from the seller (bank repo). Where do I stand?

I would be willing to bet that your Realtor Association has an arbitration panel to handle this kind of dispute. Your broker needs to get involved.
